I just typed my last two words. The End.
March Madness has been CRAZY! Thanks again Denise, Shana, Jen, and Elle for making this happen.
I pretty much didn’t make it to the finish line, but I’m going to push really hard. It’s going to probably be an extra week. Thanks, March Madness for the motivation!
I reached “The End” on this round of revision!! That’s not to say I don’t still wonder if I shouldn’t add one more scene — and because of that, I’ll look at it again this month, and maybe tinker a little more, before I send it out. But I’m excited to have reached my goal, and excited to have been part of a group of people working toward their own goals, too. Thank you for helping to coordinate March Madness!
Thank you everyone for organizing March Madness. I didn’t get done what I expected to get done, but I did do more than I would have otherwise.
I plan on continuing the motivation since I have the momentum.
I’d love to do it again.
I fell short of my goal, but I can’t be sad because I got so much done! March Madness was just what I needed to get me back in the groove. I’m writing everyday (it’s slow, in bits and pieces, but I’m doing it), the writer’s block has been blown to pieces. Thank you so much for the opportunity!
And to everyone who did make their goals: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
Oh no, oh no, oh no, it can’t be!
I wrote wrote wrote more than I ever expected…thank you so much. Not finished, but hopefully I can keep it up (I say that everytime I lose weight!)
Thanks so much.
Mona
I think my goal wasn’t steep enough because I finished way early. Now my real challenge begins: revising this into something good!
Thanks, everyone! It’s been very fun and worthwhile.
Thank you all so much for this. I didn’t check in every day, but I managed to finish the revisions I had wanted to get done and also start planning a new WIP so it’s been extremely productive for me!
You ladies are amazing to have done this. If you ever want to do it again, I’m game. =D
I’m happy to have achieved my goal… making it through a round of major revisions within the month. A writing friend is now going through the ms, doing a critique which will undoubtedly result in more revision but that’s okay.
Thanks to all of you for sharing your journey, and especially to Denise, Shana, Jen and Elle for making March Madness possible. It’s been wonderfully motivating!
Cannot thank you all enough!! Doing this helped me push through some spots on my YA that have been taking be forever to write around. Slowed down a bit this last week or so, but I realize now, it’s _okay_. New “stuff” for the book is simmering.
Happy writing throughout the month of April, all!
Revised an entire chapter of 2500 words. Wow. You never know what you’ll find when you take a peek at your old stuff. I’m just glad I picked up the problems before sending it out to too many agents.
Happy April Madness, all!
Could’ve used one more day…. My goal was a critique-group-ready draft of my wip. I do have a ROUGH first draft, but I know there are a couple holes, and the ending is still partly notes, so not actually finished. However, I’m still happy about the progress I made, and I’m so thankful to have had the encouragement of all of you!
Congrats to everyone for all that was accomplished during March Madness!
Oh, I can’t tell you all how thrilled your comments are making me! I’m so, so happy! And besides that I DID IT! I finished my revision (just under the wire, I might add!) I still have some re-chaptering to do, and a one more time read-through before sending it onto my fabulous writer/critiquer friend, but basically, it is done! Congratulations to you all!
I got all 10 of my goal scenes rewritten! The last one was today, on my really long plane ride to hawaii today. And it actually turned out well, I think. This month has been a great test of my new outlining system, and a great motivator! I got way more done than I would have without MM.
Though I was far from the goal I’d originally expected to hit, I’m thrilled to have participated. Thank you ladies for doing this! If your lives went in seven different and uexpected directions like mine did, then you’re double the hero for being here for us! So much fun. Best of luck to everyone on their projects.
Hey! Post stuff! You are missed in the blogosphere. I need my fix OUTSIDE of YA rebels too you know.
