Challenge Week Five
This past week, I had solid progress on the WIP. I’m right on target to complete this novel by my goal of May 12th. I’m actually a week ahead of schedule, according to my Marathon Spreadsheet where I track each day’s word count…yeah, I track every day’s word count in a spreadsheet…
Anyway, the middle is…coming along. At this point, I’m not completely sure about it. I put my character in a sticky situation yesterday, and I think I got her out of it in a reasonable and interesting way. But I don’t know if I like it. We’ll see.
Here’s the status as of today. I’m past the halfway mark! Yay!

Not great this week. Real job hunt and home projects got in the way. That and my first guest blog (exciting!).
So, I’m up to a measly 4800 on one of the WIP and 26k on the other.
Plodding along - another 7.5K week pushing the total to 45,500 to date.
Rough draft is getting reasonable close to ending, well short of the end target, but I’ve got a fair few plot points that have sprung up that need to be inserted into the rewrite, including one major character who was inexplicable forgotten about for a few chapters.
I track every day’s progress in a spreadsheet, too. Right now, my spreadsheet is like mainstreet in a ghost-town, but it’s there.
Good job on reaching halfway. Keep up the good words. =o)
Michelle - Job hunt progress is always a good thing! I did some of that this week, too.
Andrew - You’re doing great.
B.E. - Yeah, I love tracking it in a spreadsheet, even if it does make me a little nerdy.
