Friday Five

1. I found out some exciting news today. A writing pal of mine, Kari Stewart, has accepted a three-book deal for her urban fantasy series! The first book will be published Summer 2010. I’m so happy for her! Congrats, Kari!

2. I’m not sure how to follow that one up!

3. The big NYC Teen Author Festival has been going on this week, and I’m really looking forward to attending the biggest YA author signing ever at Books of Wonder on Sunday. Any other New Yorkers going? I think it’s going to be an awesome event.

4. Spring has finally arrived! Unfortunately, it started with a snow flurry this morning. I’m hoping that isn’t a sign as to how the rest of spring will go. I’ve probably said this many times, but I’m a warm weather girl. Flip flops, tank tops and the sun warming my skin. Bliss.

5. I’ve gotten some really great progress done this week on SHATTER ME. I’ve written 10k in the past few days. Finally! I’d really like to keep up this pace, and since I had a plot breakthrough, I’m itching write it down.
