This and That

1. This sequel writing is slow-going right now, but I think I’ve finally broken through the haze. I really only want to get the first 50 pages and a synopsis written at this point. I’m over halfway there right now. I do know how I’d like to end the series, which I’m thinking would be good at four books. I knew the ending before tonight, but just the what and not the how. After doing the research tonight, I’ve developed the how. And that’s helping me with Book 2.

2. Bantam Spectra Pulse is holding a short story contest for unpublished writers. Write a 2,000 word science fiction, fantasy or speculative fiction short story and win $100 plus publication in their magazine handed out at Comic Con next year. I think that would be pretty cool!

3. I watched this Stop Motion Love Story today, and for some reason, absolutely loved it.

Congrats on figuring out how the series will end.

I just finished CITY OF BONES and I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a book this much since I read the first Dresden book. I’ll be posting about it soon.

@Dan: City of Bones is great. You’ve gotta read Book 2 now!

The short love story in stop motion was so cute. The music is Sigur Ros, if you’re familiar. Love them. Writing fuel.

Thanks for sharing that.
