Progress, it does exist!

So, today was a good day. I’ve made some progress in the writing world that I’m very happy with.

Here’s everything I accomplished today.

1. Went back and edited everything I had for Clash. I’d originally written it in first person, then changed all the pronouns to third person. It needed some editing though, and I went back and took care of that first thing when I sat down this morning. Much better now. And yes, I’ve decided to put most of my focus on Clash for now. I might add to TG2 as I go along, but I would really like to put most of my effort into this idea.

2. Ended up completing Chapter 1 and reaching a total of 3,200 words today. Not much as a total goes, but now things are chugging along. I’m finally feeling better about this. I think I can now throw myself into this novel. I found out more about my characters today, and a new character even popped up out of nowhere. This book is going to be more work than the last one, but I’m fully prepared to spend the energy and effort making it perfect. Or as close to perfect as I can.

3. This afternoon, I queried a handful of carefully selected agents I found during my extensive research last night for Teen Ghost, now called something else…

4. And the exciting news is…from one of those queries I sent today, tonight I got a partial request! Woo hoo!

5. Also, this isn’t my accomplishment, but I’m super excited. Two of my online pals got offers of representation today! I’m so proud!

The moral of this story is: September > August.

Oh, congrats!

And who got offers…I’ll go to their blogs and congratulate them!

You’re way too hot to be a nerd.

Congrats!

I think it’ll be easier to just keep my fingers perpetually crossed.
