Quick Status Update
This week, I have made a lot of progress on my WIP. I’ve added a little over 4,000 words this week. I wasn’t quite as prolific as I wish I was, but I also have work and a grad class going on at the same time, so I think this is pretty darn good. I have three completed chapters, and I’m currently at work on the fourth.
The best part of my progress comes in terms of characters and plot. I’m not sure I’ve ever outlined to the extent I have with this novel, but I think I like it this way. I’m fleshing things out and determining where I want to go with the novel. This story is complicated, and I feel that I need to have some direction in writing it. I’m leaving plenty of room for changes and detours if that happens during the writing process, which it does. I just want to have a solid outline. I’ve done a lot of work on that end, and things are going really well.
I love this story. I have never been this passionate about a novel I was trying to write. I love the premise, the characters, the world, the plot, everything. It’s a great feeling.
