My Superhero Power: Stopping Time
I have been extremely busy this week with work, social events and grad school. Unfortunately, that means I have neglected the blog and my writing. I was on a roll with the novel, but it has been stalled in Chapter 2 for the past few days.
I finally talked to someone about my idea on Thursday. I was able to bounce a few ideas around and hear some thoughts on how to make it better and things I could possibly add. I can’t wait to get back to writing because I have some great thoughts buzzing around in my brain that I think will work really well. I also have some research that needs to be done in order to flesh things out a bit. I’m hoping to get some of this done during this three-day weekend. Making time right now isn’t all that easy. I still have quite a few grad school assignments to work on, and I have Jury Duty coming up next week. It is at times like these that I wish I could function on less sleep or have the ability to stop time like Hiro Nakamura.
Some good news is that I won a Colleen Gleason novel from participating in the Manuscript Mavens Valentine’s Day CYOA story! I am not only happy that I finally won something, but I won a vampire novel! I chose the first book in The Gardella Vampire Chronicles, a series that I’ve been wanting to read for awhile.
Anyway, I should be back to the daily posts now, and hopefully, my little progress bar over on the right continues to be taken over by more and more dark purple.

Ick, jury duty…I feel for you there. I’ve been selected before, but the case was dismissed.
Congrats on winning the book, and keep plugging away in spite of the craziness. =)
