Winter Writing Contest at WritersWeekly.com

A new 24-Hour Short Story contest has opened for Winter 2008 at WritersWeekly.com. The deal is you get a topic at the start time, which is January 26th, 2008. You have 24 hours to whip up an amazing story and submit it to the website. It costs $5 to enter the contest, and it’s limited to only 500 entrants. I definitely think it’s worth the small entry fee to participate in such a fun, creative event.

Bonus is there are 85 prizes. First place gets a $300 cash prize, Second place gets a $250 cash prize and Third place gets a $200 cash prize. Each of these also gets publication on the Writers Weekly website and a few other goodies.

For more information, go to the Writers Weekly website.

I plan on entering. Do you?
