Sauna.
That’s what my apartment was last night. My neighborhood has a tendency to have power issues when the heat exceeds 90 degrees, and yesterday was no exception. I actually had limited power rather than no power at all, but only enough to turn lights on. And they would dim to almost being entirely out every ten minutes or so.
Luckily, I have a laptop. And that laptop had a fully charged battery. So, I was able to write, the heat wave brought on some inspiration, and I was able to come up with some new scenes and plot points in my story. Which I was hoping to do because I needed to add some more scenes to the storyboard.
That said, I was able to meet my daily word count, and now I am up to 32,022 words. Yay! I just hope the power decides to work tonight. Or else, I’m checking into a hotel.
