July 5 - Word Count 27,105
Met my daily word count tonight! That’s the good news.
Bad news is I determined how far behind I am. I’m supposed to be at 32,000 total words tonight, but I’m only at 27,105 words. That’s a little less than 5,000 words behind. Yikes!
But, the story is progressing well, and the plot is developing nicely. The past couple of days have been great writing sessions. The writing has been pretty much a steady flow. I’m having a lot of fun with the scene I’m currently writing, and it’s not even close to wrapping up yet. I also came up with another character that was essential for this scene, but I think I’m going to have him pop back up again sometime later in the book because I really like him. He’s a hoot.
Anyway, I think I’m going to spend several hours either Saturday or Sunday working on the novel and the storyboard. I know I’m not supposed to be rewriting, but I think I’ll read back over what I have so far to evaluate if I’ve forgotten to follow-up on anything or if any minor tweaks need to be made in regards to the plot or storyboard.
